OPENhulu Brings NBC and Fox Shows to Light

OPENhulu is a new site that just launched which features videos that were formerly only available via beta invitees of Hulu, the joint-venture between NBC and News Corp (Fox).

OPENhulu

Muhammad Saleem has an interview with OPENhulu’s creator over at last100.com.

While the video quality is incredible, and it’s great to see legal alternatives entering the fray, I feel that OPENhulu’s success will be short-lived.

As soon as the real hulu launches, the point of OPENhulu will be moot. It also might be trivial for Hulu developers to block streams from being shown on openhulu.com, and any other site than hulu.com, for that matter.

For now though, enjoy the shows!

Hulu makes money whenever someone watches a video and they are counting on the viral effect embedding allows. They want their videos in as many places, on as many sites, and watched as much as possible.

Also, if I can present the Hulu content better than they can…whats not to say that you would come to me and not them?

p.s. - site is being redone…idea tweaked a little bit…watch out for some sweet updates.
